Fare Share Market

Fare Share Co-op was founded early in the 1970’s as a buying club of local families in search of natural produce. As membership in the buying club grew, it made more sense to open storefronts. At this time, the Fare Share Co-op was created in South Paris, Maine. In April 2001, the co-op relocated to their current location.

The co-op asks members to pay a one-time equity fee of $20 and $10/year in dues. Benefits include patronage refunds, member-only sales, member appreciation days, and pre-order privileges.
