Oneota Community Co-op

The Oneota co-op was founded in 1972 as an informal buying club traveling to Iowa City and Minneapolis to purchase natural foods. The club grew and incorporated as the Oneota Community Co-op in 1974, electing the first Board of Directors and occupying their first storefront.

Over the years, the co-op has relocated several times and built up its membership. Now with over 1,000 member-owners, the co-op features a large selection of bulk foods, produce, packaged foods, a deli and other natural products.

Membership requires a fully refundable $140 share purchase, payable over seven years. Each member has one share and one vote. Benefits include a 5% discount on almost everything, every day, an optional working member program earning up to 13% discounts, member only specials, and special orders.
